Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team in Washington, DC. This role involves gathering user requirements for database changes, analyzing database requirements, and creating specifications for the ETL team to load the data into the database. The candidate will participate in functional design sessions, create and execute test scripts for database loads, and assist in the escalation and resolution of data issues.

Key Responsibilities

Gather and analyze user requirements for database changes.
Create specifications for ETL processes and database loading.
Participate in functional design sessions.
Create and execute test scripts for database loads.
Aid in the escalation and resolution of data-related issues.

Required Skills

Expertise with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Ability to translate high-level business requirements into database and ETL requirements (source to target mappings).
Proficient in documenting business processes.
Knowledge of SQL for querying databases.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Ability to multitask effectively.
Familiarity with testing tools such as Mercury Quality Center or Client Quality Center is desired.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Professional certification(s) are desired.
15 years of software development experience, with projects of similar scope and complexity.
