Job Title: Metal Fabricator

Hours: 7am-3:30pm Mon-Fri, OT as needed


Metal Fabricator Overview
Prepare electrical enclosures and backplates for assembly by transferring drawing layouts, drilling, punching, and cutting metal. Provide shop support, including gathering parts, reading schematics, creating markers, wiring panels, and preparing panels for testing and painting.

Metal Fabricator Responsibilities

Interpret layout drawings and Bills of Materials.
Use measuring devices to mark holes and cutouts on enclosures and backplates.
Operate drills, taps, punches, and saws for mounting and access holes.
Label and assemble backplate components.
Prepare enclosures for painting.
Assist with wiring per electrical schematics.

Metal Fabricator Requirements Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 2 years in metalworking or equivalent.
Skills:

Proficiency in transferring layout drawings to enclosures.
Competence in using metal fabrication tools for accurate hole-making.
Basic understanding of electrical components
Experience with power tools such as drills, taps, punches, and saws.
Ability to read measuring tools in metric, fractional, and decimal formats.
Must provide own hand tools and workboots
Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Must pass a physical examination.
