Job Description:

Our client, a global leader in packaged good solutions, has an immediate need for an experienced Assistant Press Operator, to join our winning team in York.

The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.



Our candidate of choice will prepare, operate and maintain printing presses and ensures the quality of the final printed piece.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Set up and maintain a quality product on the printing press while maximizing production.
Loads raw materials and printing cylinders into press
Washes up and switch different ink colors maintaining proper viscosity of inks during press run
Cleans and cares for printing plates
Watches print quality throughout entire press run
Assists the press operator in any manner needed.



KEY REQUIREMENTS:

Basic math skills
Ability to read ruler, tape measure
Usage of common tools (hammer, screwdriver, etc.)
Communicate well with other employees
Use of sharp tools (razor safety knife)
Use of hoists
