VP, Operations (Field Service & Cash Logistics)Job Category: OperationsRequisition Number: VPOPE002042Posted: April 14, 2025Employment Type: Full-TimeLocation: Remote, United StatesTravel Required: YesDescriptionThe Vice President of Operations is responsible for managing North American and European Operations, executing to the annual plan, and achieving the goals established for the Field Service, Cash Logistics, and Deployment teams. This position is also accountable for delivering against the strategic goals for the organization. This position must deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers, while seeking process improvement to deliver the most cost-effective outcomes. This is a highly collaborative role that works closely with Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Treasury, Accounting, and Financial Planning and Analysis.Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key member of the Chief Customer Officer's leadership team to help shape the function's strategy and business plan, collaborating with other leaders to ensure all teams and functions are aligned for maximum impact.
  • Build high-performing, inclusive teams by identifying and nurturing talent, mentoring and coaching through a balance of compassion and accountability, and promoting professional and personal growth.
  • Provide oversight and leadership for all domestic and international field operations, cash logistics, and deployment activities.
  • Serve as the voice of the field in the broader organization which will improve systems, processes, and the product suite.
  • Serve as escalation point for all business-critical issues.Business/Financial Operations
    • Develop ongoing long-term plans that support profitable growth, optimization, and efficiency for domestic and international operations.
    • Develop annual operating budgets and business commitments, in collaboration with Operations leaders and Corporate partners.
    • Oversee key partnerships critical to existing operations and new markets: partner industry, armored, legal, government, banking, trade associations, and other material service providers.
    • Ensure execution and delivery on business, full P&L responsibility.
    • Collaborate across geographies and vendors to drive process improvements, efficiencies, and cost savings.
    • In partnership with internal corporate teams, ensure compliance with applicable local tax, legal, and human resource requirements.
    • Develop and maintain cross-functional partnerships to implement processes and technologies that enhance operational performance, efficiency, and quality, to ensure customer issues and concerns are addressed and resolved.
    • Execute against business development plans including partner and vendor contract negotiation, and account management.
    • Working with Corporate Loss Prevention, minimize security risks, fraud, theft, unit damage/compromise and employee injury.
    • Work closely with Technology to develop and implement support programs and strategic platforms and/or systems.Field Operations
      • Develop and execute sustainable preventative maintenance strategies and protocols for day-to-day management of field assets.
      • Identify service level parameters with Field Operations management to ensure the team is set-up for success.
      • Work collaboratively with Director of Retail Relations to establish tiered service priorities and associated trade-offs.Cash Operations and Logistics
        • Oversight for all activities related to the collection and transportation of coin and currency, chain of custody of coin and currency processing prior to deposit (including third party contractual services), fleet operations (including management of leased and company owned cars, trucks, and vans), and compliance with all applicable transportation related regulations and agencies.
        • Maintain relationships with US and European banking authorities and/or Central Banks, and European Commission.Deployment
          • Strategic planning and oversight of execution of deployment related projects (such as kiosk adds, removals, and changes) involving internal and third-party warehousing and transportation service providers.
          • Oversight of vendor relationships for carriers, ocean freight companies, third-party warehousing, and other logistics providers.Metrics, Reporting & Accountability
            • Establish, manage, and leverage key metrics to focus on continuous improvement and ensure accountabilities and delivery of SLAs.
            • Ensure compliance with all subsidiary reporting requirements.Education & Experience
              • Bachelor's degree in business or related field required; MBA preferred.
              • 15+ years' experience managing an operations organization.
              • Experience leading both domestic and international (European and Canadian) teams.
              • Operational background in the areas of field service, liquidity and pipeline cash management, cash logistics, process improvement, subcontract and/or route management.
              • Extensive data management skills to include detailed spreadsheet manipulation and assessment required.
              • Experience working with grocery, mass retail and/or financial institutions preferred.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

                  • Our corporate headquarters is in Bellevue, WA (Seattle area) but remote/work from home arrangements are welcome as many peer team members are remote today.
                  • This position requires 30% travel, including international.Pay and BenefitsThe typical starting salary range for this role is between $190,490 -$253,987 per year. Coinstar utilizes geographically based pay ranges, within the United States, which allows us to pay competitively and consistently based on location. Within the range for the applicable geographic area, individual pay is determined by several factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share the salary range specific to your location. Employees in this position have the potential to increase their base salary up to $317,483 per year, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing demonstrated and continuous performance in the role. Short-Term and Long-Term bonus incentives are a part of the total compensation package and are based on Company and Individual performance.We believe that continued good health, financial security, and work-life balance are important.
