Full Time (80 hours/pay period)DaysMon-Thurs 1200-2030, Friday 0830-1700. Call rotationGeneral SummaryPerforms routine and specialized CT radiologic procedures at an advanced skills level. Performs procedures to produce computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas according to established practices and procedures.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms CT Scan studies; obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns. Prepares and maintains written documentation as required by the profession and the department. EHR proficiencyUnder the direct supervision of the physician, administers intravenous contrast media. Recognizes complications (e.g., contrast reaction) and treats appropriately.Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations.Positions and transfers patients comfortably, immobilizes patients as necessary, and practices radiation safety procedures.If necessary, will take call to meet the needs of the department. On call requirements are defined separately by each hospitalExamination compliance: CT biopsies and drainages, all CT protocols, IV skills, trauma and stroke protocols, advanced 3D reconstruction, independent workstation proficiency, daily scanner QC, OR proficiency, if applicable.Assisted Survey Readiness preparation.Mentor for CT Technician and CT Tech IRequired for All Jobs:Performs other related duties as identified.WellSpan Health has adopted and implemented a compliance program to support WellSpan's values and standards for professionalism, integrity, and ethics.
