Full Time (80 hours/pay period)DaysMonday 11:00am-7:30pmTuesday,
Thursday, Friday - 7:00am-3:30pmWednesday - varies from
7:00am-7:30pmSaturday - 7:00am-11:30am - on a rotating basisGeneral
SummaryThe Donor Center-Phlebotomist will be responsible for
performing blood collection procedures from donors, ensuring a safe
and pleasant donation experience, and adhering to all regulatory
and organizational standards. The ideal candidate will have
excellent interpersonal skills, meticulous attention to detail, and
a strong commitment to healthcare and donor safety.Duties and
Responsibilities:Blood Donor Collection: Perform venipunctures for
whole-blood donations in a manner that is safe, effective, and
comfortable for the donor.Apheresis Collection: Perform and operate
automated apheresis collections.Labeling and Distribution: May
perform labeling and distribution of blood products.Donor
Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service by greeting
donors, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns or
questions.Health Screening: Conduct pre-donation screening
including medical history, blood pressure, hematocrit level, and
other relevant screening questions.Documentation: Accurately
document donor information, test results, and other relevant data
in compliance with regulatory requirements.Safety and Compliance:
Follow all SOPs, protocols and guidelines to ensure donor safety
and compliance with regulatory standards.Regulatory Compliance:
Follows current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and adheres to
current regulatory requirements from organizations including AABB,
CAP, CLIA, and the FDA.Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all phlebotomy
equipment and supplies are maintained, sanitized, and properly
stored.Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other staff
members to ensure a smooth and efficient donation
process.Recruitment: May participate in donor recruitment
activities and incentive programs.Required for All Jobs:Performs

Education:High School Diploma or GED RequiredWork Experience:2
years Relevant experience. RequiredLicenses:Certified Phlebotomy
Technician - ASCP Upon Hire Preferred andBasic Life Support Upon
Hire PreferredCourses and Training:Medical Terminology. Upon Hire
Preferred andPhlebotomy Program. Upon Hire PreferredKnowledge,
Skills, and Abilities:Good communication and computer
skills.Performs component preparation and platelet
