Schedule:Full TimeDay shift40-hours weekly1630 to 1630Late Stay Call and STEMI Call requiredCardiac CT IP and OPGeneral SummaryPerforms routine and specialized CT radiologic procedures at an advanced skills level. Performs procedures to produce computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas according to established practices and procedures.Essential Functions:Performs CT Scan studies; obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns. Prepares and maintains written documentation as required by the profession and the department. EHR proficiencyUnder the direct supervision of the physician, administers intravenous contrast media. Recognizes complications (e.g., contrast reaction) and treats appropriately.Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations.Positions and transfers patients comfortably, immobilizes patients as necessary, and practices radiation safety procedures.If necessary, will take call to meet the needs of the department. On call requirements are defined separately by each hospitalExamination compliance: CT biopsies and drainages, all CT protocols, IV skills, trauma and stroke protocols, advanced 3D reconstruction, independent workstation proficiency, daily scanner QC, OR proficiency, if applicable.Assisted Survey Readiness preparation.Mentor for CT Technician and CT Tech ICommon Expectations:Assesses and interprets patient age specific data and provides appropriate, age specific treatment.
