SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This position will work at Esteem Penn State Health Cosmetic
Associates located in Harrisburg, PA. APP will administer all
dermatologic injectables, including neurotoxins and filler as well
as HALO, NDYAG laser, BBL and DIVA feminine rejuvenation and
platelet-rich plasma therapy (PRP) for scalp. APP will also perform
micro needling, wound checks, drain pulls, suture removal, and will
complete scripts and patient messages.
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is an expert in pathophysiology,
physical assessment and diagnosis, pharmacology and exercises
authority in health promotion and disease management. The NP
functions as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team and
provides a wide range of patient services to a specific patient
population across the continuum of health care. By utilizing the
nursing process, scientific reasoning and critical problem solving,
NPs practice within the scope of responsibilities and prescriptive
authority defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and
the Medical Staff Executive at the Penn State Hershey Medical
Center.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
Masters Degree in Nursing with clinical specialization
required.
Two (2) years' work experience as a RN required.
Current licensed to practice as a CRNP by Pennsylvania Board of
Nurse Examiners required.
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
Experience as a cosmetic injector in a cosmetic practice or a
trainer in cosmetic procedures.
