Job Description:
Zimmerman Associates, Inc. (ZAI) is seeking a Project Manager to
support one of our large federal agency clients. The ideal
candidate will have experience in supporting the oversight of
complex programmatic coordination and execution of records and
information management (RIM) capabilities and be motivated, driven,
and client focused to joint our highly collaborative and
customer-oriented team.The main objective of this project is to
enhance and modernize the client's records and information
management program. The initiative aims to address existing
challenges, establish a robust framework, and transition the Bureau
to a fully electronic environment that aligns with the National
Archives and Records Administration's (NARA's) requirements and
industry best practices. The program additionally involves
conducting a detailed records inventory and implementing an
electronic records management (ERM) solution that leverages the
Microsoft Purview Records Management Feature, completing the
digitization of paper records and providing staff training.Primary
Responsibilities:
- Leads day-to-day activities and works closely with various
teams to ensure customer satisfaction, financial and schedule
performance, and risk/opportunity management.
- Provides the centralized planning, direction, and control
required to meet the cost, schedule, and performance goals
throughout the lifecycle of the RIM program.
- Leads all meetings and the integrated project team (IPT)
(kick-off through project closure).
- Demonstrates a proper working knowledge of record-keeping,
organization, handling, storage, retrieval, and destruction of
records and adhere to internal policies and NARA guidance and
requirements.
- Reviews, synthesizes, and prepares highly technical, sensitive,
and complex documents, briefing materials, management directives,
and correspondence.
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate and collaborate
effectively with federal and contract staff.
- Serves as a main point of contact for all programmatic,
technical, cost, and administrative communications with the
stakeholders
- Minimizes all costs and risks to the programs while ensuring
the highest of quality
- Responsible for meeting program schedules and remain under
budget
- Develops and maintains Program Plan to include schedules,
budgets, and resources
- Manages program risks and issues, as well as, identifying
opportunities.
- Ensures that all project deliverables are completed on time and
meet the required quality standards.
- Develops and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Provides regular project status updates to both senior client
stakeholders as well as corporate leadership
- Ensures compliance with all FAR regulations.
- Develops and manage work breakdown structure (WBS) of
projects.
- Tracks project performance, specifically, to analyze the
successful completion of short and long-term goals.
- Develops and manage annual budgets for projects and meet
budgetary objectives, adjusting project constraints based on
financial analysisRequired Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Information
Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent and a
minimum of 8 years of related experience.
- Must have experience overseeing complex RIM projects.
- Must demonstrate expertise in implementing technical solutions,
including software installation, configuration, and associated
documentation
- Must have experience throughout the program lifecycle from
development through sustainment, including equipment proposal
purchase development, requirements decomposition, generation of
system and subsystem statements of work and subcontracts, risk
management, and continuous improvement efforts, including
implementation of cost reduction and performance improvement
efforts.
- Must have at least seven years of project management
experience, focusing on RIM projects, including experience with
Microsoft Purview Records Management or similar solutions. Project
Management Institute certification is mandatory.
- Must demonstrate excellent organizational and multitasking
abilities.
- Must be proficient in program and project management integrated
software, toolkits, and best practices.
- Must possess strong communication and interpersonal
skills.
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Federal Government experience is required.
- Must have proven experience managing a remote
